2. Confirm SWD connectivity before enabling option-byte changes.
3. Validate HSE/HSI clock selection and PLL configuration.
4. Start with a low-speed GPIO heartbeat.
5. Enable peripherals individually and capture fault registers on failure.
6. Record firmware, board revision, and toolchain version for every test.
